Liz Dudek Retiring As AHCA Secretary

This morning, Gov. Rick Scott announced that Elizabeth Dudek is retiring as secretary of the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).

Dudek, who has served as secretary since March 2011, will be replaced on an interim basis by Deputy Secretary Justin Senior. Dudek's retirement is effective October 3, 2016.

FHCA always appreciated the professionalism and open line of communication shared between the Association, our members, Liz Dudek and her team at AHCA. We are thankful for her service and wish her all the best in her future endeavors. We commend Governor Scott for his appointment of Justin Senior as Interim Secretary, whom we have had the opportunity work with in his role as Florida’s Medicaid Director. We look forward to maintaining that positive relationship and continuing meaningful dialogue with Justin on issues that impact Florida’s nursing centers and assisted living communities in their ongoing commitment to deliver exceptional care and services to Florida’s frailest elders.
