FHCA is pleased to report that Governor Scott has signed House Bill 127
by Rep. Travis Cummings (R-18)/Sen. Kelli Stargel (R-15),
paving the way for nursing centers to submit a consolidated financial statement when applying for the Governor's Gold Seal
Award. FHCA applauded Governor Scott, Sen.
Stargel and Rep. Cummings for supporting legislation that provides an important
opportunity to recognize nurses, aides and thousands of other long term
care professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional long term
care.
House Bill 127 became law upon the Governor's
signature, and centers interested in applying for the award have until March 15, which is the first-cycle application deadline. Click here to review the list of centers qualifying to apply this cycle (Quality
of Care Scores through December 2015) and for more information about the Governor's Gold Seal Award, including a list of FHCA's 19 member centers which hold the Gold Seal designation.
